Aaron Petty began his career in financial services in 2007 with Ameriprise Financial. For nearly a decade, he worked alongside his father at North Star Wealth Strategies** in Fort Worth, TX. In July 2024, he joined Wealth Avenue and relocated to California later that year to lead the day-to-day operations of our Newport Beach office.

With over 17 years of experience, Aaron specializes in serving the University of California Irvine faculty and California public service employees. He has expertise in retirement systems including CalSTRS, CalPERS, UCRP, and FERS.

Aaron has his Financial Planning degree from Southern New Hampshire University and previously attended Brigham Young University. He and his wife, Kim, live in Aliso Viejo with their two sons, Cooper and Connor. He’s enjoying the shorter commute and soaking up all that California has to offer—from cheering on his boys at the baseball fields to spending weekends at the beach or hiking the local trails.
