To support the continued growth of Wealth Avenue, Genevieve joined the Wealth Avenue Team in 2021 as one of the firm’s client service coordinators and has since moved into the position of Special Projects Manager. Though Genevieve is new to the financial services profession, she is not new to the professional skillset needed to help the partners actualize their goals and champion the business philosophy of guiding clients to enhance their financial well-being in an environment that is tailored to the unique needs of everyone they serve.
She is a proud alumna of Virginia Tech where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations in 2007. As a native of Norfolk, Virginia, she is just as proud to be an alumna of Old Dominion University where she earned her Master of Arts in Humanities with a concentration in Communications. While at ODU she also completed a Graduate Certificate in Women’s Studies to ground herself in human rights, social justice and promoting equality. More importantly, she felt her post-graduate studies would further her ability to effectively and successively communicate in the professional sector. She went on to teach and coach for Norfolk Public Schools. An athlete at heart, she chose to leave the classroom when she was hired as the Head Softball Coach at Bryant & Stratton College in Virginia Beach, a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). She has managed and coached the softball program at BSC since 2018.
Thorough and intuitive, Genevieve’s expertise assists the firm and their clients by managing projects outside the normal scope of Wealth Avenue operations. As Special Projects Manager, Genevieve is focused on helping the WA Team with their short-term needs and long-term goals and is committed to working with the Wealth Avenue Family with integrity and respect.
